Real estate sign removal in Durham Region

Done with a listing? Request a pickup and we'll pull the For Sale post — usually the next business day when you order before 6pm. Removal is included with True Sign installs; you just have to ask for the visit.

Included with your install

A standard 90-day rental (from $70 / $85) covers pickup when the listing ends — no surprise fee to undo what we planted.

Next business day

Order before 6pm Monday–Friday and we usually pull the post the next business day across Durham Region.

Lawn left tidy

Post out, soil pressed back, panel and riders recovered. Tell us about gates, dogs, and sprinklers so the visit goes cleanly.

Included removal vs standalone pickup

When True Sign Group installs your post, end-of-listing removal is part of what you paid for. There is no separate surprise pickup invoice just because the deal closed. You still request the visit — the calendar does not auto-pull every post on closing day — but you are not buying a second product to undo the first.

Standalone removal is for edge cases: a post that was never on our books, or an address that needs a quick coverage check first. If you're unsure whether your post is a True Sign install, say so when you request pickup — we'll match the address rather than guessing on the curb.

When to book removal

Book when outdoor marketing should stop — not weeks after the MLS status changed.

Firm sale

Hang a short Sold rider if you want the street to see the win, then book full removal within days — not weeks.

Expired or withdrawn

Outdoor marketing should stop when the listing does. A stale For Sale face reads as stuck.

Damaged or unsafe post

Storm lean, plow hit, or a neighbour complaint — request a pull (or a repair) before it becomes a brand problem.

Sold rider first, full pull second is a common Durham pattern. Order a Sold rider for the announcement, then schedule this pickup so the lawn returns to normal.

How removal works

  1. 1Submit a removal request with the listing address (and order context if you have it).
  2. 2Order before 6pm on a business day for typical next-business-day pickup in core areas.
  3. 3Note access, sprinklers, and whether the panel or riders should be returned to you.
  4. 4Crew pulls the post on the route day; inventory goes back into the shop cycle.

What happens on site

The crew recovers riders and the panel, extracts the post, and presses the hole back as conditions allow. Winter frost and saturated clay change how tidy "presentable" can be — the goal is a clean professional exit, not a landscaping remodel.

  • Flag sprinklers, new sod, or decorative rock beds
  • Note gates, lockboxes, dogs, and construction fencing
  • Say if the panel stays with you or returns to inventory
  • Empty or gated properties — leave access instructions

Where we remove posts

Removal follows the same footprint as install. Core Durham and nearby cities we serve day in and day out: Oshawa, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Clarington, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Courtice, Markham, Scarborough. See all service areas for city-by-city coverage. Addresses well outside the usual footprint may need a quick confirm before we schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Is real estate sign removal free with a True Sign install?
Yes for posts we installed under the standard rental — removal at the end of the listing is included in the install price (from $70 single-leg / $85 H-frame). You still need to request the pickup so it lands on a route.
How soon can you remove a For Sale sign in Durham Region?
Order before 6pm on a business day and we usually pull the post the next business day in the core service area — the same cutoff pattern as installs.
Can I keep my sign panel after removal?
Yes — tell us on the removal request if the panel (and any riders) should be returned to you. Many agents reuse laminated panels on the next listing.
Should I leave a Sold sign up, or remove the whole post?
Use a Sold rider for a short celebration window, then book full removal. Leaving the entire post up for weeks after closing looks stale and keeps inventory in the field longer than it should.
Do you offer same-day sign removal?
Next-business-day is the standard promise when you order before 6pm. Same-day pulls sometimes fit the route when capacity and location allow — ask when you request if timing is urgent.
Can you remove a post you didn't install?
Standalone removals are available for edge cases. Tell us the address and we'll confirm coverage — addresses well outside our usual footprint may need a quick quote before we schedule.
